While we had the most fabulous wedding, our reception at Leeds Town hall was met with a fair few issues. Our ceremony was 45-60 minutes late to start. When I arrived, with my guests in tow (50 of them) I had to wait for about 10 minutes on the steps while a steward allowed a bride who was already late for her ceremony to have photos taken. We waited and stared - I couldn't really believe I was in my wedding dress and stood there for such a length of time. It was very, very hot (9th August) and we were crammed in a small room waiting. My Wife is estranged from her parents and was advised in our first meeting that it wouldn't be mentioned on the day when filling in the documents prior to the ceremony. This did not happen & She got very upset when asked about her parents, right before our special momentAs we were signing the documents, we could hear our music playing - but it was our 'entering' the room song & we were a good 10-15 minutes from finishing with the registar! I stated this and one of the registrar's rushed into the room to restart the song. This really wasn't good. We did have a fabulous time at home & taking pictures after the ceremony but we feel we were treated differently to the bride who arrived late leaving us stood waiting. It did not really feel special at Leeds Town Hall - I've waited this long to leave my review as I didn't want to have it in my head that my special day wasn't as perfect as it should have been - through no fault of our own(15:30, August 9th, 2018 for reference)

Leeds Town Hall is one of Leeds' finest venues and is a great place to visit if you get the opportunity. I would recommend

Great place for lots of different type of events from Getting married to watching an opera, the staff at the Leeds Town Hall are always very friendly and are always very welcoming.

The town hall is a great space for any event. I attended a huge beer festival there and it was fantastic. The inside and the basement is very cool. The basement has old jail cells that were old and beautiful.

Beautiful setting for a most memorable day. Leeds Beckett University used the premises for the presentation of degrees to their Students. Very happy Students and extremely proud Mums, Dads and Families. The surroundings, the presentation and the general atmosphere made this a memory for life.
