Excellent venue, one of the very best in Leeds. A little tucked away... but a superb night out.
1 star is generous to say the least. Our night was ruined by an extremely rude bouncer named Erol (apparently, according the to general manager, who was also ignorant of the behaviour said member of staff displayed). The doorman decided to insult a close friend of my party with 'you're a speccy four-eyed, ugly b**ch' without any provocation - a strange comment as the man was wearing glasses himself. After being questioned why he had made this comment, he followed it up with 'you're a c***'. Understandably upset by the offensive comment, we attempted to speak to the manager but all he could do was defend the vulgar individual and he then refused to provide the door staff's badge number (something which has to be given on request by law). It is absolutely shocking how many reviews there are, not just on Google, but also on their Facebook page, stating the same issues with the door staff, yet nothing is ever done about it. How strange! It's almost as if the manager doesn't care - I'm sure you can sense the sarcasm. The doorman works for Phoenix Security, who have already been contacted about him and the SIA will also be contacted tomorrow.
My daughter had her phone stolen and the door staff were extremely unhelpful to the point of defending the girls who stole it!! They actually pushed a 56yr old bloke who was trying to get them to help. Going back to the 80's door staff mentality! Absolutely disgusting behaviour! I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The safety and welfare of the clients doesn't appear to be paramount at all. If you do go watch your possessions and if they are stolen don't expect any help from the door staff. They then refused entry to my daughter and her party but let the girls back in! The amount of complaints about the door staff on here you'd think they'd do something about them!!
Started out a great night. The sercurity guy on vip area was fantastic and so was the staff. Let down by the terrible dj who wouldnt play requests and was just plain rude. Also me and my group spent atleast 200 between us on a booth and drinks which included free entry. About 1.30am i went outside to book a taxi to then be told i would have to pay entrance fee to get back in. Upon trying to explain he was having none of it and was just pure rude.It was a real let down to what was a great night. I think popworld should concider who they hire as door staff as they really let the venue down.
Went in on Saturday 17th November with a friend, very busy night with a mix of old & young. After getting drinks and found a spot to dance. The usual "beer boys" and drunken idiots who can't hold their drinks kept elbowing and pushing past. No matter where we moved to, same thing happened. We had to leave early before he smashed his plastic glass in the face of a idiot hell hent on causing trouble. Where were the boucers? Not doing their job. Not trained to look out for the idiots pushing and arms knocking into peaceful dancers. Oh and DJ loves the sound of his voice more than the music he plays. This review will be printed in the newspaper I work for as a warning.
