Our ould boiler died on us a few weeks ago. We hadn't used it all summer and it just wouldn't switch on no matter what we tried. We contacted BS Plumbing and Heating as all other companies seemed to have been fully booked what with the cold weather and everything and was told that they were pretty fully booked up until after Christmas. The lovley customer service staff told us however that another customer had reboked so they had a slot available on the same day.The engineer who came out was called barry and he seemed to know what he was doing. He was quite friendly and approachable. He opened up the boiler and spent about 30-40 minutes inside it.At this point, i asked if we needed a new boiler, we were more than willing and he did give us a quote for it however he also said that it was quite possible he could fix our isue for around 100-150 (thats with the price of the parts included) and that there was no real pressing need to spend so much money on a new boiler when our current one was only 4 years old. We moved into the property about 2 and a half years ago.Barry then contacted the manufacturers for further advice with whom they seem to have a very good relationship. After talking to them for about 10 minutes or so barry went out to collect the parts requied and fitted them in. Within 2 hours we had our boiler back up and running again.Barry could have pressed and asked us for a new a boiler and we would have gotten one aswell however he was very honest and did his work very profesionaly. He also offered to come out again for no extra charge if we had the same issue again in the next 12 months.Very good, honest company, highly reccomended .
Where do i start. This is a fantastic family company. Their engineers are experienced and their customer service staff are a delight to speak to.I called out BS Plumbing and Heating to come out and repair my boiler after another company messed it up after carrying out what was supposed to be a simple service.Their customer service department were extremely polite and friendly. They told me that they were fully booked for the day and that the latest they could send someone out would be 2 days later. I agreed to this.They rang me up about 2 hours later to tell me that they had a cancellation and were more than happy to send out their most experienced engineer (Barry) to come the very same day.Barry came out, did a beautiful job of servicing my boiler and told me i could get my boiler repaired for a far cheaper price than i had been quoted by other companies.If you use them 2-3 times they will offer you massive discounts.I have used them multiple times since for landlord safety certificates and some bathroom work.They fitted a bath, a sink and did some tiling work yesterday at a discounted rate (Pictures attached) Their engineers are extremely competent and versatile and can do all sorts. I would and have recommended them to all my friends and family.
OVERALL A VERY DODGY COMPANY WITH A VERY AWFUL SERVICE. STAY CLEAR.I have had an absolutely disastrous level of service & care from this company. I am based in North Leeds, and called BS plumbing to do a routine service of my fully functional gas boiler before winters. I had no problems with my boiler, and hot water & heating were working absolutely fine. Once their engineer Barry came for the servicing job, he handled all my fitting very wrecklessly, and broke the wooden panel above the boiler. He was very untidy and did not care about leaving the worktops/floor dirty. He did not perform the service as per manufacturer recommendation. He finished his job, and broke the boiler parts- so I had NO hot water or heating for about 10 days (still ongoing), while temperatures in Leeds have been below Zero with snow. So a normal boiler service which was meant to avoid an emergency situation left us with no hot water or heating for 10 days (& ongoing). When he left my house, he left 2 boiler valves open which has resulted in further damage to overflow valve due to over-pressurisation. These are normally supposed to remain closed at all times, and only used to top up boiler pressure if it drops. Barry then not only refused to make good the damage he has done, but blamed the breakdown on the internal workings of my boiler. BS plumbing did not take any responsibility for damage caused during a routine service, and threatened me to pay the charges. Also, their phone department (Siraj) confirmed that they are not VAT registered, and they still quote VAT in their prices.
Great service from start to finish.From our initial call an engineer was allocated (Barry) and arrived as promised on time.Upon arrival honest and professional advice was given.The work undertaken was completed without any hassle to us and we felt that nothing was a problem, it was reassuring to have a bona fide tradesman attending to all that was required.We had a new boiler fitted and Barry even took time out to ensure we had the correct pipe work for the system to work properly.To make a good job even better Barry nipped out to purchase parts for our toilet which we had mentioned was not operating correctly.All in all a great job done, a great team ie accounts and the customer service office who liaised with Barry and left us in no doubt that the work would be done having had an estimate for the work sent within a day of speaking with Barry.
This is by far the best experience I've ever had with a plumbing company and I've had my fair share.To begin with the office staff were extremely helpful and helped me through the whole process of my boiler install without any fuss.The engineer (Barry) was also very professional and experienced and the whole thing went it like a charm. The engineer also repaired some damaged pipework which came about from a different company at no extra charge :) Would have no hesitation in recommending to my family and friends. Will certainly use them again in the future !
