In reply to the accusation that our review is fake, regrettably we feel compelled to provide more detail.The first issue we experienced was misleading communications from L&DRS regarding the price of the works. They verbally quoted a price, without stating that VAT should be added on top. The price was agreed and the works were verbally instructed.L&DRS later provided a written quote and invoice for the agreed price + VAT. We emailed them to say we were disappointed they had misled us in this regard. Despite being within our rights to refuse to pay the additional amount we committed to pay the full amount including VAT.L&DRS chose to respond to this by email attempting to push responsibility for any miscommunication onto us and inform us they would be looking to remove our materials and taking court action over loss of time. We found this threat distressing and wholly unnecessary. Remember that at no point did we refuse to pay the full invoice.A torrent of gratuitous emails (28 email were exchanged over the course of 2 days) followed directly from L&DRS including personal insults, threats regarding late fees and removing the materials fitted, allegations L&DRS had recorded conversations with us when work was underway onsite and total ignorance regarding verbal contracts. Yet when we attempted to make payment the bank details they had provided were incorrect! We requested that they desist communicating with us directly due to the amount of time we were wasting responding and highlighting all inaccuracies in case the dispute escalated further. We stated the date we would make payment and requested any further communication from L&DRS, should any be necessary, be sent from their solicitor.We are happy to share the email thread with any interested party as we should not want any other customer to go through a similar experience. As a result of our terrible experience with Leeds And District Roofing Services Ltd (L&DRS) we would advise others to avoid using them or proceed with extreme caution.29/6/2017 Update. To be absolutely clear. Work was instructed upon receipt of a verbal quote. You failed to communicate VAT, which is a legislative requirement. You did not pass an invoice across in person ahead of the job starting, though you previously state that you have a recording supporting this activity. Of course this 'so called' recording has not materialisedThe work was for 4 garage roofs.We have never contacted you again for any further roofing work based on our appalling experience. Therefore your 'inaccuracy' below supports all other 'inaccuracies'.Despite your multitude of errors and your appalling conduct you have behaved in a harassing manner which is continuing with your facebook messages to several parties of this company and by other means this week.All evidence is available to be examinedOn a plus point..We gather you are no longer stating that the review is fake.Separately we note Ben Farquharson that you have 'Google' reviewed yourself, twice!! and given yourself 5*s, against Google guidelines.30/6/2017 update. Amusingly we note that the owner Ben Farquharson has edited his 'response' for the 3rd time. In the response the owner stated that our review was fake. In his second response Ben acknowledged our review and reasoned his position and now in his 3rd response Ben has reverted back to stating that our review is fake. The only thing fake about your reviews - are the 2 that you've done on yourself and the others that have appeared within the last week presumably to drag up your rating.We have also received complaints from friends whom you have harassed via facebook. We have screenshots and will be sharing these with the relevant authorities should you continue to behave in this bizarre, harassing manner. On Christmas day we had a leak on our flat roof so we started phoning many roofing companies to be told there is nothing we could do about it. I was on the phone to my mum and she said she had her roof done by someone called Ben and to give him a call. I phoned him and Ben came out to have a look on Christmas day which I found amazing as he was the only one that bothered to come. He put a tarpolin over it to stop Any further water getting in and gave me a date to come and replace the flat roof.I now have a new grp roof with 25 year guarantee which looks a million dollars.I would highly recommend Ben to every one and I could not find a better service
I needed a repair to my roof because I was going on holiday and it was leaking in every time it rained. Ben came round the next day after I phoned him and gave me a respectable quotation. I asked him if he was busy as I needed the work doing within a week as I was going on holiday. Ben booked me in for the next day and Paul and Mark carried out the work. When I was on holiday we had a lot of bad weather in leeds and I could not check if the repair had worked. When I got back home I was pleased to see that the repair had worked and there was no water on the floor
