was born here. then realised i didnt wanna be born at all . fumin

Staff always made me feel welcome here when I was pregnant. And they always explained everything to me in detail as to what was happening. And kept to appointment times.

The best hospital in Leeds, full of caring people who try their very best for you no matter what. The hospital itself is very well equipped, and thanks to the current problems inflicted by chronic underinvestment from central government you may have to wait a bit to be seen, but the staff do what they can with what they have and you get there in the end.

(Roy's wife, Jacqueline) Excellent. I was born here. They do their absolute best. If I have a long wait I always know that there is a very good reason. Like saving someone's life. They looked after me very well for 1 week when a car knocked me down and about 10 years later I was anaemic (still am) so I had another week at St James' with 6 blood transfusions. At the age of 49 I have had 8 asthma attacks in 2 years and the ambulance crew saved my life. Thank GOD One time my husband and I were on the bus. We got off and just walked in and they gave to me some oxygen. I would have died otherwise. Now I have yellow and blue inhalers and no more asthma attacks for one year nowThank you, St James'. You are doing a brilliant job

I have want to say a big thank you to St James Staff who was outstanding. Yes I did wait 17hrs to get a bed but the abuse the staff receive is appalling. The staff do not get enough recognition for their hard and long hours. I was scared regarding my results but they have put me at ease and will have regular reviews with my condition after having a bleed on the brain. This is to all staff on Ward 27 and A& E staff for their outstanding work and caring for others whatever the emergency.
