Great pets at home. Has a massive selection of pet food. Staff are friendly and helpful- on numerous occasions they have offered to carry things to my car for me (like 20litre bags of cat litter).
I rang this morning to ask what the return policy is on an opened bag of dog food. (Didn't suit my dog) I was asked to bring the bag down and my online receipt and they would see what they could do.I went down and was immediately attended to.A straight swap over with the dry dog food my dog was used to, I paid the extra 5 and off I went. No proof of purchase even checked.I was very impressed with the service and the ease of swapping an opened bag of food. Well done Kirkstall. 5 stars
Bought a hamster from here yesterday and all of the bits he needed. Was a great experience with the staff being very helpful and friendly. Although one staff member commented on how I was barely 18 when asking if I was old enough to buy it when Im actually 22 which was a little rude. I also dont know if the staff are trained properly as they tried to sell me sawdust which I know is bad for hamsters and there were a few other things that staff should know but didnt. Overall a nice experience but I would do research before hand if youre going to get a pet from there.
Good place; Helpful staff. OK prices. I was happy with my purchase. Last time the quality of the product left a lot to desire, though. Make sure you pick the quality item, they will sell you whatever.
I went to look at guinea pig cages and ended up taking away two adoption guinea pigs.Rose was the person who helped me, she was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She examined the guinea pigs very thoroughly whilst explaining what she was checking for and also making me aware of what to look out for to keep them in good health. She couldn't have done any more, really pleased with the all staff here.
