Great selection of beer and other drinks. The food is really good- twists on pub classics. They always have an intention vegetarian dish on too. It's often very busy so if you're going at a peak time and want food I'd phone and book a table. Toilets are upstairs and it's narrow in places so not sure it's any good for wheelchairs.
Great selection of ales. Fabulous pub. Great atmosphere
Been going here since 1969...Never again!. Appalling staff... where do they get these unprofessional people from????. Were they having a bad night?... drinks put on shelf whist talking to friends,.turn around...gone!!! Complain to bar staff... drinks unattended???...tuff!!!!?. . Lessons in customer service urgently reqd!!... What a waste of (used to be the best pub in town).......a. great venue!... Bloody appalling staff!!!
A nice 'ye olde pub' down a side alley, which I have been told is the oldest in Leeds. Very small and very busy. The service was good and the staff friendly enough. However, I wouldn't recommend the beef steak sandwich. My picture says it all really and at 6.50 it was quite frankly disgusting. In their defence, they did give me a refund. But I won't be eating there again I'm afraid.
Oldest public house in Leeds is a great place to visit and take in it's fine ales. It's full of character and characters too. The staff introduced my wife to the gin menu and provided information on different types.Has for myself l stuck to the locals choice of Smithes bitter.
