Brilliant place for a quiet walk, take the dog for a walk or take the kids to a park. There's a cafe, lake, mansion castle ruins and ice cream van play area, ample parking throughout different areas with a nice path the entire way round or off shoots into the wooded area. Beautiful.

Tropical world over road and another beautiful little part of park . Roundhay fox , other cafes, pubs, near by.
A fabulous local park for scenic walks, wildlife and general park-based stuff. Great little on-site cafe and a newly refurbished childrens play area - really nicely done but horrifically busy now. Theres bags of food if you want to feed the swans for only 50p from the cafe. A road train is great for kids if you want a (short) tour of the park, theres also an on-site ice cream van. There are also lots of organised events here too, check the council website for more info.
Nice place to go with family. Spend some quality time. Take your own picnic baskets and you can enjoy to the fullest. Go visit the birds in the lake. It's just an wonderful experience all over.
So lucky to have this practically on our doorstep. There are acres of green space, two beautiful lakes, and plenty of wooded walks. There are two decent playgrounds for the little ones - obviously these get quite busy on a weekend, though - and The Lakeside cafe has a great selection of hot and cold food, cakes, and coffees. There are two car parks but they get full quickly, so you may need to park on the road. Transport links into Leeds city centre are great, with buses running every few minutes from right outside the park gates.There's also loads to do around the park, from Tropical World and award-winning gardens to restaurants and pubs. You can easily make a day of it.
