Will not be using Archbold Ford again, they tried to fit an incorrect driveshaft causing damage to the new driveshaft damage to the gearbox seal which meant I lost all my gearbox oil. The driveshaft was not connected properly therefore could have come off at any moment not to mention I was driving around with no gearbox oil for months. I did contact the service manager but no response. The Ford driveshaft and the bill I got to put Fords work correct was over 1000.
We called and asked for a price, were happy with that price so had the work done, on completion it transpired that the price quoted didn't include VAT. Would have gone elsewhere had we known the true cost. No issues with the work, but misleading pricing. Having spoken to someone else this doesn't appear to be a one off, so be aware when asking for a quote.
